Donna D. Carter Scholar Program
The Donna D. Carter AIA Austin Women in Architecture (WiA) and Design Austin (DA) Scholar Program supports increased diversity in the architecture profession within the greater Austin community. Awards are give to two or more minority female or minority non-binary students pursuing a Bachelors or Masters of Architecture at The University of Texas at Austin.
Tuition and Funding
The Scholar Program will award two students with funding in the amount of $2,500 each for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Timeline
November 7, 2025: Application is released
January 26, 2026: Applications due at midnight
w/o February 13, 2026: Scholars announced
Early March 2026: Promotional Videos Filmed
March/April, 2026: Recipient Recognition Reception
Fall 2026: Funds are distributed
