⟵ Donna D. Carter Scholarship

The Donna D. Carter AIA Austin Women in Architecture (WiA) and Design Austin Scholarship supports increased diversity in the architecture profession within the greater Austin community. These funds are made available to two minority female or nonbinary students in the undergraduate and graduate professional Architecture program at University of Texas School Of Architecture. Each recipient is also paired with a mentor for a full year.

The WiA Call To Action College Subcommittee Initiative established this Scholarship in late 2021.

Tuition and Funding
Scholarship / financial tuition assistance will be in the amount of $2,500 for the 2025-2026 academic year, paid for by WiA and distributed by Design Austin.

April: Recipient Recognition Reception
August: Funds distributed
