Pan Am Recreation Center, 2100 E 3rd St, Austin, TX 78702

Step into Austin’s vibrant cultural landscape at the annual Las Piñatas exhibition! This showcase is a beacon of creativity that invites the community to engage with piñata-inspired artworks. Since its inception in 2015, the exhibition has grown into a pivotal feature of the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center’s (MACC) Dia de los Muertos Festival, celebrating the resilience and creativity of Austin’s Latino community and East Side residents. The 2025 installations are:

  • Dulce Piñata: First Gen Dreamer
  • Pfluger Architects: Alas Sin Fronteras | Wings Without Borders
  • WRA Dream Team: Rostros de la Alegría
  • BRR Architecture: Puente de Cempasúchil

This initiative is driven by AIA Austin’s Latinos in Architecture (LiA) Committee.
